2010 Engineering Excellence Grand Award
The phased upgrade of the Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant was awarded the 2010 National Grand Award for Engineering Excellence by the American Council of Engineering Companies. The project increased plant capacity from 36 to 50 mgd, reduced nitrates using a first-of-its-kind patented process, recycled waste flow to reduce costs, and featured an advanced control system that optimizes plant performance.
